The Association of Wikipedian Archaeology (AWA) invites proposals for the 3021 Annual Interplanetary Conference to take place at the Conference Center in McAuliffe Station at Earth-Moon L2. This year’s theme is “Notable Notions: Who/What Was Most Important During the Early 21st Century”. With the recent discovery of a number of unlinked Wikipedia pages from the late Antiquity period of the Pre-Interstellar Dark Age, many new perspectives have emerged on this mysterious period of history.
Players create characters who are archaeologists of the far future, working through their personal conflicts to collaborate on an abstract for a paper for a conference about the distant, near-mythological past - our present time. The characters look back through the fractured lens of a selection of Wikipedia articles and a series of given Wikipedia misconceptions.
